Frikandel

A frikandel is a traditional Dutch snack, a kind of minced-meat hot dog, which is usually deep-fried. It is cylindrical in shape, about 15 centimeters in length and 2 centimeters in diameter. The outside has a slightly crunchy texture and the inside is soft and has a dark meat color. It is often served on a small, disposable, white plate with a side of mayonnaise or curry ketchup, sometimes accompanied with a portion of french fries.
